NOTE: Don't be misled by competitors offering laser hair brushes or combs at discount prices. The Platinum 9 has 9 individual laser diodes. Some of our competitors merely use a single (1) laser diode that is split into 9 beams by using mirrors! They advertise 9 laser beams but really use a single laser that is 'split', therefore it is 1/9 the power of the Platinum 9 and not nearly as effective. We also use the highest quality true laser diodes that are at the exact, and ONLY, specifications the FDA has approved - 650 nm and 5 mw. Cheaper combs and brushes claim they use lasers but many are actually LEDs, which are not approved by the FDA for hair restoration.
Also, it is important that the comb or brush has an adequate and constant power supply. We offer both a plug and a rechargeable battery supply. If the unit is plugged into the wall it will get constant and full power. If the rechargeable batteries are used it will also be constant and at full charge.
Some brushes and combs offer only one power supply and many others offer only regular battery power, which is inadequate as the power will decrease with each use, which means you would need to put in new batteries every time you use the unit in order to get enough power to push the diodes to the 5 mw mark.
